Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of fruit - especially peaches, as well as notes of alcohol and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and alcohol as well as light notes of metal, leading to a dry metallic finish.

Bottled. Nut brown, brief head. Lots of caramel up front. Sweet with medium-full body and lots of buttery toffeeish malt. Rounded and well structured, but caramel and butterscotch are very dominant.

500ml bottle at Battersea BF 08. Deep ruby colour with thin green/beige head. Fruity. Bit meaty. Strong alcohol. Very decent strong fruity bock. I waivered over the score, but eventually setlled on 3.5 after first giving it 3.4 then upping that to 3.6

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Slightly hazy, orangey brown with a creamy, beige head. Fruity, vinous aroma with roasted malts and fresh rye bread. Full body, sweetish roasted malt with notes of sherry and overripe fruit. A lightly bitter finish. Very delicious indeed. 191207

(bottle, best-before: Oct.07) Slightly hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized beige foamy head. Sweet, roast-malty aroma with chocolate, caramel and liquorice. Sweet flavour with some burnt bitterness, medium to full bodied, smooth carbonation. Chewy roast-malty taste with dried fruits, light notes of caramel and chocolate/cacao; sweet and roast-bitter, slightly vinous-fruity finish with a warming alcoholic note. I had the opportunity to compare the fresh bottle with an older one (bb: July 06), which was more fruit-accented, more vinous, even a bit more complex, rounder and softer.

Bottles: Reddish-amber coloured with a medium-sized, slowly diminishing yellowish head; complex nose, as usual: dark dried fruit with a tinge of alcohol, dark malt with traces of wine and traces of chocolate; full sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied; fruity, vinous and sweet malty finish with a delicate bitterness, that keeps it balanced, in the aftertaste. (One year old version - best before 11.7.06 : more vinous, maltier, less bitterness in the aftertaste, all in all a bit softer, and a little bit better rounded !) A fine Bock, good as a "fresh" brew, good as a well aged "old" Bock.............
