Dark ruby color, small steady white head. Aroma has caramel, woody hops, latex, licorice candies. Caramelly, grassy hoppy, leafy. Very sweet dessert beer but not so Christmasy.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s a dark amber beer, hazy, and topped by a minimal-sized beige head. Roasted nose with licorice, or anise maybe, some alcohol, oranges and malts. Sweet flavor with some orange, alcohol, anise and herbs. The orange flavor feels artificial. Full-bodied, sticky-sweet and warming. A quite unusual combination of flavors, but the result is quite successful. 090724

bottle, pours dark brown with a tall light tan head, good head retention. Prune and apples with a strong spiced note coming from the anise. Starts with a doughy dark malt flavor that leads to a spicey anise note that melts into a very dry finish where some more malt shows it’s presence. Moderately carbonated with a medium to full body......alcohol is well hidden. Highly drinkable.

Bottled (thanks fonefan)@Timo A Tasting session, Tampere. Deep rubyish amber colour with mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is anise, spices, caramel malts some alcohol and licorice. Flavour is caramel malts, some slight alcoholic warming notes, quite much licorice and spices. Christmassy indeed, but at the same time a bit out of balance.

Bottle. Cloudy browm, low brown head. Citruspeel, brown sugar nose. Belgian spicyness, citrus, pepper, brown sugar finish, low on aftertaste. Medium to light body, light sparkly. Pleasant.

Medium light crème-head over deep mahogany beer. Liquorice – tuns of it, drop and aniseed. Imagine salted drop (liquorice sweet), liquidized and overcarbonized. Truly horrible. Fizzy, medium to well-bodied. Truly terrible.
