Bottled. A hazy deep amber beer with some sediment floating around under a lazing huge tan head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of licorice root, anise, caramel, and oranges. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of alcohol as well as medium notes of anise, licorice, oranges, and caramel. The alcohol tikles the cheeks.

Bottle (LCRBM 08):Deep amber coloured, small persistent off-white head; sweeitish, christmas-spicy nose; medium bodied, soft MF, but a bit fizzy; moderate to strong sweetish-bitter flavour; lingering, caramelly, hoppy and fruity finish. Very good stuff.........

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Grovlam. Pours a cloudy, orangey brown with a beige head. Malty aroma of licorice and cough syrup. Medium body with a very lively carbonation and EXTREME accents of licorice - wauw, the most heavy licorice notes I have ever encountered in a beer - and a bit much really. The finish is quite bitter. 191207

Celebrating my 1200th rating. 75cl. bottle shared with pops. Pours dark brown with a fluffy lasting white head that drags some amazing lacings. Aroma is spicy, malty & fruity. The fruits are dark ones like raisin/plum. The malts are roasted and have a clearly taste of liquirice. Filling, smooth & creamy mouthfeel. Light warmth. It has a long and pleasant finish. Nice!
