Bottle from Der Doppelbock. Dark amber color. Soft malty aroma with a hint of butterscotch. Full bodied. Malty peppery flavor with butterscotch and raisin. Grassy hops in the aftertaste. Well balanced and not too sweet.

21.05.2019 -- 0.5l bottle from netto in spandau. pours a clear deep amber with a small but dense beige head. aroma of toasted malts, molasses, leaves. a bit winy. flavour of toasted malts and leaves. a bit harsh, alcohol is noticeable.

Bottle shared by dad. Clear deep dark red to purple color. Decent sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, caramelised sugars, surprisingly bitter. Quite ok. 6-5-7-4-14.

zapach karmelowy, lekkie toffi, przypieczony chleb, trochę alkoholu w tle, całość zapachu dość mało intensywna. kolor jasnego karmelu, klarowny, piana białobeżowa, mało obfita i szybko znika. w smaku lekko słodowe, karmelowe, przypieczony chleb, bardzo lekka drożdżówka, całość lekko wodnista. goryczka ziołowo alkoholowa, dość czysta, średnia. nasycenie średnie.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Vova. BBD 7/8/09. Dark amber-brown. Aroma of oxidation, chocolate, caramel, a nutty note, cardboard and some alcohol. Sweet and oxidized flavor with chocolate, caramel and cardboard. Medium-bodied.
