Als je het woord “Coffee” in de naam leest, denk je uiteraard meteen aan een donker bier. Dit is deze Double IPA totaal niet. Deze Double IPA is vol gehopt en donker blond van kleur. De tonen van koffie in de smaak komt doordat pas aan het einde van het brouwproces de Braziliaanse koffiebonen toegevoegd zijn. Hierdoor geven ze dus alleen smaak af en geen kleur.

(Draught at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam, 11 Aug 2023) Pale amber colour with frothy, tan head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of toast, orange peel, citrus and mild coffee aromas. Malty, hoppy taste with orange peel, toast, rye bread, coffee and a balanced citric bitterness. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with a good hop presence and a mild coffee character. Nice one.

On tap @ Brothers In Law Taphouse, Utrecht Hqazu dark yellow with a white head. Piney and citrus hops. Medium bitter taste with a bitter finish. Nicy hoppy double IPA but I didn't notice any coffee at all.

33cl can. A clear deep golden beer with a white head. Aroma of pine, resinous bitter hops, caramel and some grapefruit. Taste of bitter grapefruits, biscuit, hints of coffee, resinous bitter finish.
