Dark clear amber color, smal beige head. Bready, a bit fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Ryeish, alcoholic, spicey hoppyness in the flavor. Brutal version of DGA.

Pours reddish orange with a smooth head. Aroma has notes of berries and malts. Taste is fruity with notes of malts, cherry and berries. Sticky finish with hints of more berries. Nice, quite unusual for a Strong Ale.

I do have a soft spot for Dead Guy, but this sweet-looking red bottle of Double Dead Guy makes me long for that balanced, lovely original hybrid maibock ale. The extra hops and gooey/sticky malts usurp and absorb the niceties of the base beer, pummeling your tastebuds with liquor heat and overblown Deadliness. I want to like this beer, because the bottle rocks and I’m a Rogue enthusiast, but Double Dead Guy is one Dead Guy too many. (10/08)

Gewürzig-malziger Antrunk und weiterer Verlauf, wobei die Malzigkeit eher im Abgang wieder eine Rolle spielt. Spät getreidig, bedingt harmonisch, bisweilen recht alkoholisch. /10/8/9/11/9

On Draft @ the Great Lost Bear. Pours cloudy amber with some off white head. Nose is a bit hot with alcohol, toffee notes, citrus and fresh baked biscuits. Very malty, bread flavors come through very strong fading to a burnt toffee and finishing on a medium bitter hop note that persists for some time. The alcohol helps blend the flavors together. A great brew but not something I would drink to often. Glad I had it on Draft!

Cloudy amber beer. Gorgeous palate - silky smooth abd soft with just enough froth in mouth. Top notch! Flavour is smooth malt with a hop sharpness that threatens but never attacks. Just a pleasing hint of hop bitterness in the finish. A deft and very well put together beer.
