2008 version, no best before on bottle, but ølkonsortiet had a label bbf 2013. bougt at fish and beer, copenhagen. clear dark amber, smooth offwhite or beige head. aroma is caramelly and sweet hoppy at first impression. the hoppy part is also part very bitter hoppy, almost citrussy bitter hoppy, arom is like a very very very agressively hopped barley or dipa that has bee stored for a bit too long, killing the flowery hop notes. flavor is pretty malty, some caramel (not dark nor sweet), good dose of hop bitterness, faint piny and flowery hoppy note, ends dry hoppy making you want to drink more, but end is quite like the beginning. Pretty decent strong hopped barley wine / dipa like brew.

Bottle. Clear amber body. Minimal white frothy head. Malty aroma of caramel, bread, cookie and cereal. Some floral hops. the flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet, lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, slick, thick texture with average carbonation. Alcohol more pronounced in the bitter finish. Husky, crude malty flavor. The sweet aroma is fairly light for such a big beer.

2008 bottle - Pours amber with suspended yeast flakes and a sizable off-white head. It has a very malty aroma with hints of dark fruit. The flavor is sweet and malty up front with dark fruit and wood characteristics then the hops hits. It’s moderately to heavily hopped and has a bitter finish. It put me in mind of some barley wines.
