India Pale Lager is a hybrid between a lager and a hoppy special. The mystical Griffin is a combination of an American eagle and a Czech lion. The Americans, who didn't invent but definitely pushed the IPA style, and the Czechs as a lager superpower. Put it all together and you have an India Pale Lager. A wonderful aroma full of fruit, hop bitterness and high drinkability of the lager.

0,5l can from Yeme Grocery Store in Bratislava. Head is big, white, good retention. Colour is deep gold hazy. Aroma is a lot of citrus, orange, sweet grapefruits, pine touch, bit yellow tropical fruits, caramel. Taste is medium malty base, a lot of grapefruit, orange, pine resin, long lasting bitterness, very dry on the palate, ok, enjoyed.

Can from somewhere. Misty orange-amber body, off white head, fluffy, medium retention. A mongrel indeed, initially a big, nice berry/grape blast from the can, but that subsides soon, peachy notes show up, soft flowery notes, citric, other stone fruit, a bit dusty, light light touch of cloves. Literally a rotation of aromas, sometimes working, sometimes less so. The taste, however, is less interesting, extremely dry, lightly earthy, fairly carbonated. Light peachy hoppy notes, going herbal. I mean, not a bad taste, but this is hard to drink it's so dry, bitterish, astringent. Huh. Kinda enjoying it anyway, but barely.
