Brewed with Pilsner and Cystal malts massively hopped in in the continuous fashion. The flavor is complimented by the addition of Apricots. After fermentation the beer is dry hopped with irresponsible amounts of Amarillo hops.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks zvikar. Clear reddish amber. Stale hops aroma, a bit floral and piney. Fruity flavor with some apricots and light malt sweetness at first, finishes somewhat bitter and hoppy. Medium-bodied.

35,5 cl bottle @ hotel room, Santa Rosa
Aroma is sweetish with peaches and some toffee – feels like a basic pale ale. Flavour is somewhat sweet with strawberries, some peach and possibly apricot – a bit on the sweet side, but not bad anyway. But not IPA as the label promises.

Bottle. First let me say that I believe this should be an IPA, not a Fruit Beer. The Apricots are there only in the background to add character to the profile; this is IPA through and through. Pours amber orange with a medium off-white head, good retention and lacing. So far, so good. Smell is of pine, apricots and roasted malt. Very similar to the 60 minute, minus citrus plus apricot. Taste is apricot, roasted malt and pine/resin. There is a bitter aftertaste with apricot sweetness mixed in. This is not bad, but in my opinion, the apricots, while not dominating, are offputting to me in this beer.

Picked up a 4-Pack at The Liquor Shop in Nashua, NH for about $12. Poured into a Mikasa Tulip.
A - 3-Finger off white lightly tan head with great lacing that stuck to the edges of the glass. Subsided after 3 minutes to a quarter-finger in height. Lacing persisted. The beer is a 3-4 on the SRM scale or dark brown to light amber in appearance. Looks a lot like a 60 Minute IPA.
S - Very solid Cascade hops hit the nose. I’m getting another hop profile but can’t quite pinpoint it. It doesn’t smell as dry-hopped as I would imagine. Maybe less hop profile than DFH’s 60 minute which is surprising. In the smell, there’s not much apricot.
T - Very tasty. 60 Minute and a Pound of Apricots got together and fermented for a while. Remarkable how the apricot balances so well with the Cascade hops. There’s this dry trail mix taste with raisins and apricots and bit sof salty peanuts and a terrific DFH IPA which they do so well! Well done. No booziness at all.
M - 50/50 carbonation, medium bodied and dry hop linger with some dry fruits like (you guessed it) apricots!
O - I was hoping for the best but not expecting much. This beer didn’t let me down. Very good and drinkable. It makes me wish Summer was here.

Red-orange color; very citrusy on the nose and hoppy on the initial taste; then the hoppiness tails off, mellowed by the apricot (I believe). I am always suspect of fruit in beers, but this one is not fruity, sweet or syrupy. I only bought a single bottle to try, but may pick up a six-pack for drinking on those upcoming sunny, warm spring days.
