Swing top bottle. Massive gusher. Yeasty, citric aroma. Vinous flavor with muscat grapes, flowery hops and a hint of toffee. Slightly perfumed and alcoholic. Nevertheless pleasant to drink.

Vintage bottle of 7 years old. Still produces a very thick, firm, rocky, yellowish white head (caught after gushing!); orangey amber colour, clear with dark dots (dead yeast), misty with deposit. Very fruity aroma not unlike freshly made orange juice, lemon peel, pineapple, caramel candy, butter, white candi sugar, cognac, old ’jenever’, white pepper, bark, parsley and the expected oxidation. Sweetish fruity taste, orange and peach with sharpish, tingling carbonation, very soft caramel malt base, light peppery hints, smooth, floral hops in the finish with light bitterness, though insufficiently so to balance out the initial sweetness; some brandy-like alcohol too. In all, nice sweet ale which has aged pretty well.

Bottled. An unclear orange-brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of spices - especially cinnamon on a malty background. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, yeast, alcohol, and spices - again cinnamon being the strongest.

Bottle, 8%. Ok citric fruit aroma. Cloudy amber colour, many small yeast bits floating about. Small white head. The flavour is vinous with some light malt notes and a distinct alcohol finish. It gets a little citric, but is otherwise OK balanced.
