A dark, malty and full-bodied oatmeal porter. The malt contributes with a roasted flavor, caramel sweetness and a complementing hint of chocolate. Careful use of hops rounds up the flavour with some balancing bitterness.

Porters rose to fame among labourer’s in 18th century England, our take on the style is built for those who do the heavy lifting.

Black, tan head. Aroma is quite sour, chocolate and coffee, fermented red berries. Taste is also a bit zesty for a porter. I suspect this may have been sitting in the pipe a while. Taste of citrus, caramel, coke.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 5.8%, IBU 30. Very dark brown to black colour, large to moderate tan head. Aroma of roast malts and chocolate, hints of mild coffee. Smooth flavour, roast malts, chocolate and mild coffee again, also a hint of caramel, but not too sweet. Moderate bittering hops in the finish. Well balanced and easy drinking.
