Bottle. Amber, clear body and an off-white head. Grapefruit dominates the aroma, with some apricot, pine cones and generic citrus. The flavor goes in the same direction, sure on the hoppy side, still with some room for malty sweetness. Full-bodied and with a nice, fruity, piney and bitter finish. Lovely and very easy to drink. Rating: 7-4-8-4-15-3.8. (080926)

Cask, at the European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. A clear, golden beer with and off-white head. Citrusy and fruity nose with pine and resin on a malty-sweet background. The flavor follows the same path, with the sweetness more evident. Full-bodied and almost astringent in the mouth, finishing mostly bitter. Refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink. Rating: 8-4-8-4-15-3.9. (080912)

Bottle, at Patricks Pub, Kristiansand. It pours an unclear, dark golden body with an orange tint. Two-finger, lasting beige head leaving a little lace-work. Piney and orangey nose with malty sweetness in the background. Fresh hops. Pleasant sweetness blends with the hoppy flavors giving pinecones and citrus, mostly orange-peel. Nice bitterness lingering for a long time, with pinecones, citrus and some sweet maltyness to finish it. Full-bodied and quite effervescent, with a little warmth. A lovely combo of hops and malts makes this one a really pleasant one. (081011)

(Bottle at Pikkulintu on 2008-10-30) Amber and hazy. Huge white head. Lots of hops and some sweet notes in nose. Full bodied and slightly oily palate with little carbonation. Hops, raisin, malts, bitterness, sweetnes, more hops, some alcohol and hops in taste. Sweetish, bitter and hoppy aftertaste.

Bottle 0,5l shared with Rune. Thanks to him - and Beer_2000. Dark brown / amber colored. A large creamy head. Stable as concrete. Amazing. Strong sweet hoppy and fruity aroma. Soft mouthfeel. Pleasant hoppy and fruity flavor. Well rounded. Dry bitter aftertaste with fruity hints. Some sediments in the bottle.

500ml bottle - thanks to Beer_2000. Pours a solid and dense, off-white head, resting all the way on top of a hazy, dark, (red) orange body. Sharp hoppy to the nose. Filled with succulent, late oranges and grapefruits added by a piny touch. Decidedly bitter back notes. Moderate sweetness. An excellent, living product (shared with Finn, Tromsø 13.10.2008).

(On tap) Pours a hazy amber golden with a rough off-white head. Fresh and peachy hop aroma. Medium body with sweetish caramel and plenty of spicy and peachy aroma hops that also leave a massive bitterness. Very decent. 120908

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 20 Sep 2008) Reddish amber colour with brief head. Fruity nose with grapefruit, orange peel, pine needles and Christmas tree. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, orange peel and pine needles. Long, resiny finish. Rather sweet. More one dimensional than balanced, but still a lovely hop monster. 8/4/8/4/15=3.9. (Rerate: bottle, 14 Dec 2012) Reddish amber colour, slightly hazy, with dense beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, dried fruit, apricots, citrus peel, a touch of rubber and slightly earthy hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, dried apricots, rye bread, grapefruit and generous amounts of citric, earthy hops in a fairly dry finish with a slightly vinous twist. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Very nice beer.

Cloudy dark amber with a small but lasting off-white head. The big hop aroma has apricot, tangerine and pine. Rich hoppy flavour mostly of the pine variety, and very bitter.

500ml bottle. Amber body with a big, creamy off-white head. Lovely aroma of apricot and grapefruit. Flavor is fruity like apricot, bitter grapefruit and a hint of caramel malt. Very balanced indeed, with a little reference to the Stone Brewery signature.

Had this at European Beer festival 13-09-08 Pours reddy/brown in colour. Limited mnotes here I’m afraid all I’ve put is that ’this is another superb beer from Nogne with the most wonderful combination of bitterness and sweetness’. I suppose that’ll do, it really was lovely.

Draught@EBF2008. Amber colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet wooden and some mild grassy notes. Flavour is mild sweet fruits, alcohol with bigtime peach and very dry fruity hoppyness in the finish. Wellbalanced and nice.
