Tap @ EBF 2008. Caramelly aroma with apple syrup. Apple syrup, earthy hops, caramel and chichory in the flavor. Not too good.

50 cl bottle @ Gastropub Nordic. Batch 018a, BBE 12/2011
Huge, cloudy head with large bubbles. Aroma is somewhat stale and sweet with hay, some berries typical to danish ales, chocolate, roasted malt and hints of coffee. Despite the foaming, the palate is ok with good amount of CO2. Flavour has vegetables typical to danish ales, some ash, roasted malt and hints of coffee. Adding the yeast makes this more stale and berryish. Decent, although the berry and vegetable aromas do disturb a bit.

Bottle, at Ølfestival 2011. It’s an almost clear one, amber in color and with a small, off-white head on top. Roasted notes in the aroma, fruityness too, but all quite weak. The flavor has caramel, roasted malts and fruityness, but is quite weak and boring. Medium body and a bit hefty carbonation. Roasted, caramel finish. A boring one, like so many brown ales, but it’s far from bad. 110528
