Bottle 75 cl. No. 141. Pours a cloudy and opaque brown with a basically absent head. Classic rustic Bøgedal aroma - yeast and roasted malt. Medium-bodied, a little low in carbonation with hard roasted malts and distinct elderflower. Light malt bitter finish. 010209

Dark brown with a small, light brown head. Aroma of elderflower, pine, citrus. Dry and slightly roast flavour with a whiff of elderflower, and lasting hoppy finish. The elderflower aroma gets a little overwhelming.

Bottle, 75cl corked, at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. An unclear, brown beer with a small, beige head. Roasted, herbal nose with mint, dried fruits and some alcohol. The flavor is roasted and herbal too, mint and dried fruits also evident, and towards the finish some alcohol has company of roasted malts, herbs and hops. Some bitterness. A bit thin and flat in the mouth, with a nice warmth. A pleasant and easy drinkable beer, but a bit flat and herbal. (080913)

Draft. An unclear brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet wtih strong notes of NW hops - I pick up Centennial, but also lighter notes of nuts, and brown sugar. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel, nuts, and good hops, as well as lighter notes of spices and elderflowers.

From tap at YNWA. Pours hazy dark brown with a fully diminished light tan head. Hoppy and elderflowered aroma. Flavour follows this closely with a dense hoppy oily and spiced elderflowered to herbal dominant impression. Medium sweet and dark roasted malty base flavour. Lingering sweet and fruity finish with a lasting herbal accent and quite hoppy.
