Bottle - hazy dark gold - thick, well-sustained head - when cold, the spices seem far too heavy-handed, like someone just dumped the christmas spice rack in - when it starts to warm, the spices aren’t as prominent and settle in a little better - medium sweet, with a peppery Belgian yeast character that serves as a nice base for notes of all spice, nutmeg, white pepper, a slight spruce character - some candied orange and apple notes late - complex and warming (but in the end, still a little over spiced).

Pour is a murky orange with a huge white head. Aroma is cinnamon and ginger with some nutmeg and Ommegang yeast ester. Flavor is more of the white pepper with nutmeg and ginger. This is heavily spiced. It flavorful with abundant spices but they are really potent. This may be a beer to lay down for a while and see what happens. Flavorful but rich with all the spices.
