Draught @ Amsterdam Ale House, Manhattan (December 2022). Clear copper-red with a small foamy beige head, cloves-nutmeg aroma, high carbonation, bitter malty taste with nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon flavors, faint alcohol undertones, smooth thin body, long bitter finish. Nice winter warmer.

Potentially the worst beer I've had from Ommegang. Definitely a disappointment. Here I thought the Beervana article was talking trash. They probably are, this is one beer and a Christmas beer at that. But man. Would expect this from Sam Adams Christmas beer or something but ya. Ginger, clove, maybe nutmeg. Lots of Christmas BS in any case. Only missing the Mariah Carey carol to make this less pleasant. Pours golden with ok head. Sweet finish, some potpourri. Bottle.

Pours hazy deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving gloppy spiders. Nutmeg, clove, ginger and cinnamon aromas. Medium bodied with harsh raw clove and dried cinnamon upfront turning to bitter tree bark and bitter apple in the lasting finish.

Bought at Liquor Shed. Best by September 9th 2023.
It pours a hazy colour of honey with a massive billowy head of foam and leaves a lot of lacing.
The smell is a huge whaff of spices. Nutmeg, cinnamon, some fresh baked bread, kind of sweet but has a distant nose of bitterness.
The taste is everything that I got in the smell. A Blonde Ale that is a spice bomb. The finish is quite bitter to me and the ample alcohol is noticeable.
Almost full bodied, my overall impression is that the spicing is way overdone. Not worthy of a repurchase.

Slightly hazy cooper with a huge fluffy orange white head that rose over the glass and left great lacing. Caramel, orange, peach, ginger, clove and a hint of cinnamon. Very long finish. Medium body.

12oz bottle. Heavily spiced, full bodied beer. A little too spicy, heavy handed. Drinkable, OK, but not my favorite.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours translucent amber with a nice creamy beige head. Aroma of yeast/spice. A bit sweet. Med plus body. Flavor starts with Belgian yeast/clove, touch of banana, and then gets a mix which nutmeg seems to dominate. Towards dry; spice stands in for bitter. Yeast persists into the finish, which is nice.

When poured has a great fluffy frothy off white head that slowly Settles. The aromas are winter spices and a little caramel malt but not overdone. Flavors are like nose and fairly well-balanced. One of the better winterspice beers that I've ever had. Nevertheless it's not one of my favorite styles of beer.
