Tõmmu Hiid is one of the oldest A. Le Coq beers, which has been in production since 1936. The aroma of the beautiful, deep brown Tõmmu Hiid is dominated by soft caramel, crusty bread and sweet raisin. The pleasant bitterness of black coffee lasts in the end note.

Bottle, thanks Maria. Copper-colored, clear beer with a dense, beige head. Toffee, a bit fruity, and sweetish on the nose. The flavor is malty, a bit roasted and lightly grainy, with a little fruityness, leading to a caramel-ish finish. Medium body. A decent variation from pale beers. (070527)

An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, combined with light notes of burnt malt. The flavor is just as the aroma, but added a hint of wood.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head. Malty, lightly sweet aroma. Medium-bodied, lightly burned nougat flavour before a dry, lightly hoppy finish sets in. Absolutely not the worst to come out of Estonia. 150506

Bottle. Pale chestnut colour. Stable creamy head. Remarkably tasteless. Clean. Has a slight wateryness and bitterness to the aftertaste. Very boring.

This beer has almost no aroma. The appearance is ok, it has a nice nut-brown colour. The flavour has a touch of chokolate, but this is not a very good beer.

Bottled (BB 06/2005)
Clear copper brown, good brown head, lace. Typical lager nose: light malty and metallic aroma. Malty rounded palate. Soft slightly hoppy aftertaste. Clean and balanced, but lacks depth and is not very interesting vienna.
