Doppel Heller Bock
Brewing a bold and flavorful blond lager is an ambitious task, but we’ve never shied away from a challenge. This doppel (double) heller (bright) bock (strong) combines a few of our favorite things: clean malt flavor, a slightly sweet body, and a touch of vanilla-like wood flavor from hickory honeycombs. Ambition never tasted so good.

Pint can from Niemuth's, 4/19/20. Clear gold, large fizzy white head, fair retention. Aroma of pale malt, honey, apple skins, vanilla. Taste is honey, vanilla, apple skins, raisin. Cherry juice peeks into the finish. Full bodied. Booze present but not too bad. Kinda one note but flavorful and well balanced.

Pretty much the textbook definition of a helles bock. Mild sweetness with good carbonation to balance great body and finish. Nice beer.
