Cask, GBBF august 2003. Light amber color, traces of a head. Slight hop and vanilla aroma. Full bodied. Some hops and grapefruit, but especially a vanilla flavor. Some powdery sweetness. Long lasting hoppy aftertaste. Lovely beer, I could drink this any time.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - amber and oily. Nice fluffy head. Nose - malt bag and orange. Taste - loads or orange. Light toffee though none of the expected biscuit. Palate - close to medium bodied and tangy. Nice dry and tangy finish. Overall - better taste than nose. More like a weak barley wine than an ESB but good.

Half-pint, cask ale at Ancient Briton. Bubbly white head, amber coloured body, slightly hazy. Fair lacing down the glass. Malt-fruity nose, moments of leafy hops. Mixed taste of caramel malts and ripe fruits. Malt-fruity bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Nice. (Pen-y-Cae, Glamorgan 02.10.2018).

Cask at The Railway Inn, Winchester. 16/12/16. Vague hay/loft aroma. Light amber. Decent, if frothy, head. A tad bitter, develops in strength but never gets going. Not quite what I expected. Light bodied, with a soft finish. Hides its strength but bland as.
