Hazy dark amber/ brown colour, sweet caramel, bready, hoppy bitter finish. Very nice and unusual but delicious Festbier. Thanks Dominik!

Short-lived off-white head over clear copper beer. Dry autumn leaves, caramel, dry, brown bread. Bitterish, with a caramelly, bready I Hintergrund /I. Very good balance. Bit copperish-metallic finish. Leafy, bit of liquorice. Light to medium bodied, not very carbonated. I like this! And I like the idea that a rather newcomer (2008) takes up the traditional German styles. Txs to Joren for bringing!

0,5 l bottle, listed with 5.8% abv on the label. Dark golden nearly copper in the glass, slightly cloudy with a more than one finger white foamy head. Grainy smell, malt in the second row. Taste is grainy, low malt and caramel in the second row with fruity elements. Dry. Hop bitterness, little bit metallic. Low carbonated.

On tap at the brewery Gasthof, 20 July 2012. Hazy gold in appearance with a decent white head. Sweet, stone fruit aroma, with a touch of caramel. Flavour was similarly sweet and fruity, leading to a gently bitter finish. Good.
