330 ml bottle, as Geiranger Djupvatnet Baltic Porter, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.2%, IBU 32. Very dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate and some caramel. Roast malts in the flavour, not too sweet, notes of dark chocolate, sharpish bittering hops in the aftertaste.

Black with white head. Disturbing aroma of pine-needle and wintergreen. Taste is in style, licorice and hint of salt. Still a minty taste that is ruining it. Bottle from eo.

Delt med A-L på Vervet. Ultramørkebrun / Svart. Lavt luftig skum med litt farge. Spotlacing. Aroma av melkesjokolade. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken kakao & mørk sjokolade. Tørr, forsiktig bitter avslutning.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Dense fawn-coloured head leaving spotty lacing on the glass, coal black body. Nicely roasted grainy smell, hint of liquorice. Chocolate and liquorice to a malt-driven taste character, a bite of biscuit to it. Roasted bitter ending, warming and long-lived. Well made. (Tromsø 06.12.2022).

Bottle. A deep dark brown beer with a reddish hue. Finger-thick beige head and some lacing. The aroma is quite roasted, with dark chocolate, nuts and some dark dried fruit. Alcohol too. It’s full-bodied and warming, softly carbonated, with a light bitterness. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, nuts and some notes of bread and dark dried fruits. Alcohol too, especially in the finish. Quite nice this one, perhaps a bit alcoholic. 221126
