Belgian pale & pilsner malts w/ Styrian Golding for bittering and Saaz for aroma. Ginger predominates the spicing. Fermented in primary with Ommegang’s house yeast, followed by secondary with Brettanomyces bruxellensis. Dry-hopped in secondary w/ a blend of hops; Tettnang being the stand-out. The flavor profile is very herbal with an earthy undertone (very fitting for a Belgian-style farmhouse ale). The dry finish and pronounced hop aromas hide the 8% abv very well. Dangerously drinkable for its strength and character.

Bottle. Musty barnyard and lemon aroma. Cloudy pale yellow with giant head. Sweet-sour lemon and light musty-dry flavor. Mild citrus hops finish. Very nice, easy drinking beer - a bit light on flavor and body though.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of fruit, but also with a light notes of brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet malty with quite strong notes of fruit and citrus as well as light notes of milk, leading to a dry spicy finish.

Corked bottle
Hazy blond color. Breadish aroma, poor, abit perfumy. Sweetish flavor, some mix of malt/cereals/cornish flavor, uninteresting, with a very light banana and vegetable touch. Not good.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Slightly hazy, pale golden with a white head. Vaguely tart, citrusy nose with a whiff of yeast. Medium body with fruity accents and a somewhat astringent quinine-like bitterness. I would’ve thought that the Brett character had developed more by now. It’s hardly noticeable in this bottle. 301107

on tap @House of Brews NY-pours a white head and yellow/gold color with effervescence. Aroma is spice-peppery, some malt. Taste is spice-peppery, some malt, then a tea like taste. Light side of medium body. Have a 750 that I’m letting age," hopefully the suggestion many have made is right for this one. 080616- rerate–750ml bottle Batch#1 June 2007 purchased 9/07-a bit drier/funkier than on tap. 3.2 *120126-Ommegang Ommegeddon-750-pours yellow with a retaining foamy white head. Aroma is lemon", brett, grainy-bread, yeasty. Taste is lemon/spice hops, sweet light malt/grainy-bread, yeasty. Drying, nice. 3.6

750 ml bottle. Yellow-gold pour below a queen-size pillowy white head. The aroma is spicy with notes of ginger. Behind the spice are notes of vanilla, lemon grass, caramel and cinamon. The flavor is lightly sweet, moderately tart/sour and lightly bitter. The medium body has a watery texture and lively carbonation. Long, slightly sweet, dry finish that leaves flavors of spice, candy and bitter. Nice blend of spice and sourness throughout. The carbonation and body make this a refreshing beer. Too bad it’s 8% abv instead of 5 because you could drink lots of this without tiring of it.

Bottle from Tytoanderso - Thanks! Pours a hazy yellow with a nice white head. Aroma of spices blended with yeast and malts. Flavor is very balanced with spiciness and a little of that earthiness feel. Very smooth and crisp.

Pours bright gold into a Tulip. Off-white head quickly subsides to skim rim. Sweet funky marshmallow aromas. Slightly flat with oncoming brett from front to back. Medium length, dry finish.
