An approachable, medium-bodied dark beer with subtle notes of cola, malt sweetness, and toasted bread. Inky black with a ruby hint. Brewed and afforded the time to lager in the central European tradition leading to a refreshingly soft beer with a clean finish.

Slow's draught, 11/30/24. Dark, clear. Neat, hazelnut head. Cola, mild licorice, hints of cacao and finally good yeast character with strongly herbal, almost minty hops that complement the chocolatiness well. Clean, very malty with pretty good attenuation, great yeast character and excellent, but not overdone hops. Wow, to think I've been passing up these guys all these years and thus is my first experience with them. If their other beers are even close to as well-done as this, I should be trying them all.

Draft at Faisan. Pours a deep brown to black with faint purple highlights and a small beige head. Light cocoa powder aromas with herbal aromas. Palate is very similar with more cocoa powder and mineral on the palate. Drying finish. Very drinkable.
