3rd LCRBM. Smoked ham aroma. Thin. Smoked ham flavor, with pineapple hidden bhind the smoke. Long pineapple and smoked cheese aftertaste. Great beer!

Rating from 2010: Sehr rauchig-beißender Geruch, braun-trübe Farbe. Der Antrunk ist mild-wässrig, angenehme Rauchnote. Zum Hauptteil kommt eine leicht saure hinzu, insgesamt aber relativ laff. Der Nachgeschmack ist mittellang, außer leichter Rauchnote und einer angenehm sauer-weizigen Note ist nicht viel.

Bottled@ChrisO (thanks fonefan!). Hazy goldeny amber colour with small white head. Aroma is malts, wheat, some rather sweetish notes. Not that smoked. Flavour is sweet malts, some mild herbal notes as well as mild leathery and slight smoked notes.

Bottle 500ml. w. swing top.Light unclear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, sweet malt, light smoke, moderate yeasty, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, overripped fruit, smoked notes, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100802]

bottle, from Frankenland. Cloudy brownsih colour, mid-sized head. Smoky nose. Wheaty and yeasty with nice smoky accents.

Bottle at LCRBM3. Slightly rubbery on the aroma. Plenty of bacon with an odd woody edge. Interesting though.

Getestet beim LCRBM Im Antrunk, der leicht rauchig daherkommt, vermisst man bereits etwas die Intensität. Diese nimmt zwar zu, bleibt aber doch in einer eher unwichtigen Stärke. Aber auch die typischen Weizenaromen sind nicht wirklich stark vertreten. Mittelmäßig. Test vom 11.9.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,7,7,8,-,8 - 7,68

Hazy orange beer, no head left on sample. Smoked herring and malts, smoked à souhait . Smoked, but restrained, or more precise: late action-smoked. Also quite sweet, indicating fairly much restsugars - for a maltery? A little wheat sourishness decrying its identity. Sticky, but OK; medium bodied, seems to be more than its presumed (not verified 5.5% ABV). A bit strange Rauchweizen - but one I tend to like, which is seldom for the combination smoked-wheat.
