We chose a fairly local mountain - the mythical and distinctive looking Slemish near Ballymena to name this one.

Can from Beer52. Hazy orange-gold with white head. Big juicy tropical hop aroma with pineapple, melon as well as orange, hint of pine and soft malts. Taste has a mix of soft and zesty fruit (grapefruit, melon, orange) with oats, light pine and a herbal edge particularly towards the end. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi-dry. Very good, I like an IPA that tries to take the best bits of West and East Coast styles.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A hazy pale amber pour with a rim of white head; citrus aroma with a hint of pine; rather thin in the mouth with a dry apricot taste; then a gently bitter and satisfying finish.

Can thanks to Paul. Appearance - murky orange with a creamy white head. Nose - orange peel, mango skin and cakey. Taste - orange, cakey and juicy melon. Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy middle with a tangy, dry finish. Overall - good.

Draft at the Deer's Head Lacada tap takeover. Cloudy straw color, small white head, solid lacing. Grapefruit and pineapple aroma. Taste is very lightly bitter grapefruit. Same as many other NEIPAs, a trend that I still hope will pass.
