Draft. Blackish beer with a cream head. Roasty and nutty aroma. Nutty malt flavor with light caramel. Medium bodied. Nutty caramel lingers with light roast and light citrus.

Clear deep amber brown colour, big frothy light tan head, good retention, good lacing. Sweet malty nose, toasted, light coffee, caramel. Flavour light bitter and sweet, sugary notes. Light bittersweet finish, all in all a decent light schwarzbier.

At the Hannoversches Bierfest, bottled 50 cl, on June 6, 2014. BB 17.03.15.Clear deep dark red color, tan head. Sweet, malty, butter scent. Sweet, malty taste. Roasted aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.

0,5L bottle, BB 27.01.15. Pours dark brown with light tan head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is grains, roast, and malt. Taste is very sweet, roast, grains, and caramel. Overall: not awful, but not really my kind of brew.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein schwarzes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, erdig, leicht würzig. Geschmack röstmalzig, leichte Kaffe Aromen, erdig, trocken malzig, leicht süß.

Hm... I have just returned home from a visit to a swimming pool in Germany. No Badebier there, so I thought I might want to open my own bottle. Pours clear dark copper brown with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, with touches of caramel, yeast and metal. Faint flavour of malt and fruit, with subtle caramellish touches and sparse hoppy notes. Sweetish and mildly bitter finish. OK but nothing really exciting. Would rather drink it than bathe in it, though.

Bottle. Pours a reddish brown almost black color with a small tan head. Has a slightly roasted malty bready caramel aroma. Roasted malty caramel bready flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel finish.
