We are very excited to have teamed up with our lovely neighbours from Melton Mowbray, Round Corner Brewing to make this Black Smoked Lager. We are both big fans of the German rauchbier and schwarzbier, so we decided to combine the two to bring you a beer with soft roasted notes and a pleasant dark malt body.
It is brewed with smoked malt, dried over a beechwood fire and fermented low and slow for more than six weeks creating a lovely balance and a great match for grilled and spicy food.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 29/07/2023, gyle# 824.

25cl shared with Ryan and Phill. Appearance: very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: smoke, dark fruits. Taste: same, very roasty finish. Overall: ok.

Poured from the tap. Very dark brown with full light beige head. Roast malt, very feint smoke, decent schwarzbier, could use more smoke if classified as such.
