Boon Millésime 2020 is a delicate traditional fruit beer based on Belgian Schaarbeekse cherries and lambic. 270 grams of cherries per litre create an intense, wine-like and elegant cherry aroma. This together with the accessible alcohol content make it an ideal tasting beer for food pairing or as an apéritif. The Boon Millésime was bottled on 19 October 2021 and is refermented in the bottle. Feel free to let the bottle continue to age for a few years. Cheers!

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Deep ruby. Massive spicy cherries, cinnamon, almonds, oak, funk, wheat. Medium sour, less sweet. Full bodied. Not very complex but very tasty.

Bottle courtesy of my son. Vintage 2020. Light hazy deep red with a pink head. Aroma is sweet, malty, tart cherries, marzipan and barnyard. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. 230126

Bottled at PBF. Purple with small pink head. Mild funk and lots of earthy, balsamic cherries. Tart with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Prickly carbonation. Balsamic Schaarbeekse cherries dominate, only slight horse blanket. Mild stale hop bitterness. Not very complex.

Vintage 2023. Deep red colour, small pinky head. Tart cherries, some funkyness in the nose. Light-bodied. Funky, tart cherries, dry, barnyard finish. Lingering tartness in the aftertaste. PBF XV.

PBF XV. Hazy ruby colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is cherries, some tartness, funk and mild acidity. Flavour is quite similar to the aroma. Nicely complex though.

2023 bottle from Bierkiste. Unclear purple color with pink head. Aroma is big cherry skin, leather, dash of lime, intense. Taste is cherry juice upfront, minerals, comparably short finish. Sparkly bite, big bubbles. Tasty, fruity, and juicy!
