Blessed state is a decadent export strength stout. Full of specialty malts for a rich flavour. Cold conditioned for an extended period, the beer was finished with Cacao nibs and a blend of Brazilian and natural coffee beans from local small batch roasters, Tigermoth.

pours clear brown with a fizzy light brown head that seems to go away fairly quickly.
Aroma is malty and nutty with fainter notes of dark caramel and perhaps coffee. Also some slightly herbal notes that reminds me of so-called green coffee.
Flavor is a good balanced ordinary stout flavor with roasted malts, almost notes of smoked malts, some coffee, fairly dry. tastes like an in-between between a vienna and a stout like guinness. balance is fine and it is flavorful but perhaps a bit thin, but pretty well orchestrated.

Keg at The Kingston CAMRA Beer & Cider Festival, Kingston upon Thames. A very dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin off white head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee taste, aroma is similar. Quite bitter tasting but it's a well made stout.

Can at home picked up from HOTM. A dark black brown coloured pour with reddy hues and a big ol' tan head. Aroma is nice rich earthy smokey coffee, ashy roasted malts, charred woods, little salted meat. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, meaty roast, charred bark, bitter coffee, some brown sugars, Lingering robust roast. Palate is semi sweet, bitter roast, creamy mellow carbonation, light ash. Really well put together, and robust.
