Blessed state is a decadent export strength stout. Full of specialty malts for a rich flavour. Cold conditioned for an extended period, the beer was finished with Cacao nibs and a blend of Brazilian and natural coffee beans from local small batch roasters, Tigermoth.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Burning Sky online. Pours deep brown with a strong, creamy beige head. Medium sweet flavour with rich, rounded dark malts, brown bread, coffee, some ashy roast, baking cocoa, a nip of coffee ice cream. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Lovely balance to finish, further layered dark malts, chocolate, espresso. Outstanding.

Black beer, off white head. Smells of sweet, toasty malt. Flavour has coffee, cocoa, toasty malt, a little anise. Nice toasty, sweet finish and a good body.

Can. Wine Rack Sheffield. Nearly black. Thin sticky beige foam. Dried fruit and a nicely chocolatey coffee note. Tiny tang and light roast bitterness. Very slick and easy. Foamy carbonation. Lingering vinous finish. Nice stoot.
