Brewed 13 dec 2005. Swing top bottle from HenrikB. Beer is almost black and opague. Cream, milk chocoalte and coffee in the aroma, you can smell the beer from a distance. Full bodied. Very malty and sweet with chocolate milk, cream, licorice, coffee and warming alcohol. Thick and muddy, almost like chocolate milk. Absolutely delicious.

shared by ungstrup at his cellar clearing tasting, thanks a lot. pitch dark , almost no head. aroma is roasted stuff, boozy, slightly oxidized. flavor is roasted malty, slightly dark fruity, slightly oxidized, still good.

Leicht süßlicher und dunkler Geruch. Malziger Antrunk, würzig, nicht unbedingt vollmundig. Malzig bleibend, intensiv süßlich, sehr würzig werdend. Deutlich (!) intensiver werdend, schokoladig, hier eher etwas herb und weniger süß, intensiv malzig. Der Nachgeschmack ist unglaublich lang und vermittelt einem den Eindruck man hätte das malzig-cremige Geräu noch im Mund. Aromatisch, intensiv malzig und harmonisch – super Bier! Bottle. Frothy lightbrown fair mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Powerfull roasted heavy malty aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Strong chocolate notes. Long wonderfull heavy bitter finish. Excellent creamy palate. Great still. Thankyou Svend for sharing.

One of my most sought after beers, finally tasted at Chris O’s in August 2008. Thank you, thank you Casey for sharing and sorry about the delay in entering!
Black with a small light brown head. Aroma of licorice, dried fruit, wood, with hints of smoke and molasses. Sweetish malty flavour strongly roasted, ranging from chocolate to burnt. Nice hop bite, with herbal hop flavour. I tasted a touch of smoke and even a little wood.
It was everything that I had hoped for!

Bottle 50cl w. sving-top @ chris_o’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2008.Clear dark black color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, coffee, vintage - alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft to flat. Very very nice so happy to been able to taste this nice beer, the flavour was .. f**k fantastic ;o)) (020808)

Bottle at Chris_o Pre GBBF Shindig 08. It’s a little oxidised in the aroma. Yes, it’s got good choc, yes it makes me feel good and puts a smile on my face. Any better than the regular porter? No I don’t think so.

Black with medium brown head. Sweet and vinious aroma with with roasted malt, burned caramel, coffee, chocolate and alcohol. Sweet flavor with fairly hard roasted malt, coffee, liquerice, bitter chocolate and vinious notes. Very smooth.

Blind tasting at sk8vikings porter / stout tasting, beer no 27. Pours dark brown to black with a rim from a brown head. Quite burbon dried malty aroma. Full bodied. Clear liqourice flavour, mellow, malty with a dark chocolate whiff. Very nice.
