This collaboration bourbon barrel-aged stout with Cellarmaker Brewing Co. of San Francisco, CA, is nearly three years in the making. The goal? To blend the characteristics of each brewery’s signature stout styles while exploring concepts outside each brewery’s individual norms. Simply put, each created an entirely unique stout recipe capable of standing exemplary on its own, but with the true intention of complementing its collaboration brewery’s counterpart blend.

Once each brewery’s rendition reached maturity, samples were exchanged, the brews were blended, and enhancements made to each brewery’s version to best complement the other.

Each stout rendition stands strong alone, showcasing the individuality of each brewery’s style.

But… the two stouts combined, if one can collect both bottles, brings the full intended experience to culmination.

Black with a brown head - Dark malt and strong wood barrel aroma - Dark malt , chocolate and toasted wood barrel flavours - Dark malt flavours and toasted wood barrel goes into the finish - This was real good

Tap @MBCC2023, Red Session. Oily black, tan head. Rich, dark malty aroma, bourbon, cocoa. Sweet flavour, heavy bourbon booze, choc, rich malt, great balance.

Appearance: Black colour with a minimal tan head.
Aroma: Roasted malt, chocolate, vinous, fruit, some spices, alcohol.

Draught, taster @MBCC 2023, Copenhagen (Denmark). 06/05/2023. [#6.363 Global - #1.081 United States of America - #8 Toppling Goliath Brewing Co.] Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma: burnt brown sugar, wood barrels, vanilla and cocoa powder. Taste: Rich plums, wood barrels and burnt brown sugar. Rich mouthfeel. Next one please!

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours black with a small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong bourbon, roast, licorice, molasses. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.
