In 2018, we designed an English Barleywine, Potentiality, to be optimized for extended barrel aging. Sequentially aged in two fresh barrels for 15 months each, the base beer has evolved to achieve its Final Form.
Final Form: Optimization was aged in a Tawny Port barrel for 15 months then transferred to a VSOP Cognac barrel for an additional 15 months.

MBCC. Clear very dark brown without head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and cognac. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Oily, soft and boozy. 060523

Tap. Brown color with no head. Aroma is big port barrel, raisins, vineous, jelly. Taste is raisins, vineous, sweet, booze warmth. Oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Very tasty!
