Final Form: Optimization was aged in a Tawny Port barrel for 15 months then transferred to a VSOP Cognac barrel for an additional 15 months.

Poured from the tap @ MBCC 2023 green session (finally adding my notes). Medium dark brown. Caramel, rich, tasty, mild barrel, excellent.

Tap @MBCC2023, Green Session. Oily black, no head. Heavy dark malty bourbon aroma. Sweet boozy bourbon flavour, rich dark malt. Long boozy buzz.

bottle from set at BW share. Mahogany pour with a filmy bege head. malty aroma, sweet, boozy, raisins, dates. Taste mirrors the aroma with lots of brown sugar and dark dried fruit flavors and a welcoming warmth.

During MBCC 2023 Saturday afternoon session with Matt, Brian, Ryan, Phill, Erik, along with superhelpful, bossy, funny, and sarcastic Rachel, hehe. Aroma: dark copper. Taste: lots of barrel, super thick and sweet. Overall: good.
