We teamed up with the SoCal moguls at Riip Brewing on this extra large, extra tasty Double West Coast, aggressively hopped with Simcoe, Strata, Nectaron, and splash of Columbus. This beer also features a brand new beta-release yeast strain from Berkeley, which produces a ton of ripe pineapple aroma and flavor. True to the Riip style we kept this one nice and dry, to really let the hops shine. The resulting beer is bursting with pineapple and dank, with some tropical undertones.

During MBCC 2023 Saturday morning session with Matt, Brian, Ryan, Phill, Erik, and superhelpful and funny Rachel, hehe. Aroma: lager hops. Taste: bitter, piney. Overall: ok.

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out bright piney hops, light stone fruits and biscuity malt. Flavour is robust, with lots of resinous hops, tons of pine, tanginess, and sweet biscuity malt. Fruity, resinous and balanced. Excellent.

Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is pineapple, dank, some powdered sugar. Taste is pineapple, canned peach, white sugar. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not bad, well-hidden ABV.
