Fra fat på Bolero, Bamberg 12 Okt 14. Strågul. Lavt tett skum. Aroma av malt. Smaken litt metallisk med hint av frukt. Svakt syrlig tørr ettersmak.

Bavarian beer night, just me and some bottles on 19th Aug 2014. 500ml flip-top: BBD 4th Mar 2015. Poured into an old SchlossBrau stemmed tulip glass three times. Good clear golden body, clean and bright with a solid and lasting white crown. Semi-sweet nose with a dry taste, this is a good, regular Pilsner with a pleasant feel to it. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a well made, easy to drink, refreshing beer in a style available all over the world.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Pils mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, grasig. Geschmack herb, grasig, minimal würzig.

Hazy, light gold with a frothy white head. Lemon, floral aroma. Taste is a floral bitter....and little else. Musty, thin....maybe a little old. Not exactly pleasant.

I do not know what it is about these German beers but so many of them have this off flavor that reminds me of artificial grape. This one had a good deal of that. +++ Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very pale yellow color with a huge soapy white head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was faintly tart and tangy with notes of lemon, sourdough bread and a touch of artificial grape. The flavor was tangy lemon, artificial grape, sugar and bread. The finish was long and tangy with notes of lemon and grape lingering. Light body. Unimpressive.

Bottled (from mein-biershop.de). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grass, some grains, sweetish and bready malts along with some mild herbs. Flavour is being quite much the same. Not good and not bad either, just a bit boring.

Swingtop from Half Time. Pours orange tinged gold with a 3 finger foamy near-white head. Aroma is very lightly bready with a good dose of grassy hop. Flavor is mildly bready, and quite clean. The grassy hop cuts the malt well. Going down great at the end of a hot day.
