From the first sip, we knew Monk's Road Wheated Boubon was the perfect complement to our big, ballsy, barmy & barrel aged beaut of a barleywine. This is a skirmish of flavor. Vanilla and cinnamon spice imparted by the Monk's Road Wheated Bourbon barrel, mixed with caramel sweetness from the brick of a malt bill coalesce to knock your bloody bollocks around! Fancy that and you'll be gobsmacked!

Can poured into a Trappist glass. Murky, deep brown with a small beige head. Aroma is barely, oak, bourbon, vanilla, caramel. Initial taste is barely, oak, bourbon, hints of vanilla. Fades to an earth, oak. Full body and ample carbonation. Incredibly well done.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear, reddish, brown color, with a small, beige head. The aroma is cloves, toffee, tons of oak, black cherry, cocoa, and brandy. Sweet and sugary, with a mellow, lightly resinous bitterness. Heavy body, grainy, and quite boozy. Bourbon-forward, but quality and delicious.

Bourbon, cinnamon, caramel malt, and fresh hay aroma. Dark brown with large tan head. Very sweet cherry, bourbon, caramel malt, and moderately bitter/astrigent fresh hay flavor. Nice body - strong bourbon finish. Tasty.
