Anniversary brew with toasted coconut flakes, macaroon cut coconut, Eclectic blend coffee from Yume and vanilla beans from Papua New Guinea.
Aged for 9 months in a rum barrel from the French Antilles territory.

Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 22/12/24 (wee hours). Black pour topped with a khaki head that thins and retains as a swirl. Nose is coffee beans, vanilla, mellow roast, molasses, brown sugar melt, hint of rum. Taste comprises coffee grinds, charr, mellow roast, vanilla, chocolate, coconut shavings. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Runs a little sweet but kept in check. Tidy pastry sipper ... again the only fault with Blackout ... needs more barrel presence!!!

330 ml bottle. Pours a syrupy black with short tan head. Aromas of oaky rum, chocolate syrup, vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of rich chocolate nougat, coconut, fruity rum, vanilla and oily roasted malts. Warm finish. Excellent.

Bottle from mikkeller web shop. Aroma is deep coca, fresh cocoa, bounty before it gets oxiized, the raw coconut cut open in brazil at a beach bar. COOOOCOOOONUUUUUUT. And some malts to balance. Flavor is very smooth very well balanced coconut centered imp stoutiness, super well balanced , barrelling adds a little sweetness that the coca perfectly picks up... awesome. I have had better beers but they are few and far between.

2.2.2022. Bottle thanks to Kubo/Milan. Loads of dark cocoa chocolatey maltiness, full body, oily. Very delicious, nutty, rum, caramel. Very tasty, very good. 8,4.
11.9.2025. Tap at 100 piv (photo). Full body, light carbo. High sweetness, but also med-high bitterness and medium soft warmth. Lots of cocoa, medium toffee, nutty. Med-light rummy. Full, rich, excellent. 8,9.
