JOSEFS Brauerei in Olsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany 🇩🇪

Lager - Märzen / Festbier Regular
Score
6.37
ABV: 5.6% IBU: - Ticks: 21

Ty Erzengel. Merevaigu värvi õlu, pea on ainult korraks. Aroom ja maitse on magus, karamell, natuke köögivilju, vesine, nats metalline, veits räpane, aga siiski võrdlemisi maitsetu. Libiseb lihtsalt, aga uuesti ei võtaks.

Bottle. Clear amber with a lovely white head. Aroma of malts, honey and caramel with spicy and earthy hops. Taste is malts, grains, caramel, honey and slightly spicy and floral. Sweetness is professionally kept in check by moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Very süffig. This hits the spot. I‘ll get some more.

500ml bottle. Clear, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, malty aroma, a touch of malt lozenge and caramel, minimally doughy yeasty overtones. Taste is slightly bitter hoppy and minimally sweet, caramel malty, a touch of toffee. Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and gentle carbonation. OK.

0.5 l bottle from ’Biermuda’, best before May 2017. Clear, dark amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, a bit grassy aroma of honey and straw. Rather sweet, malty, just slightly grassy-spicy taste of honey, straw and hints of butter, followed by a short, minimally bitter finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Tastes like a diluted Heller Bock, quite disappointing after their good Kellerbier.

Bottle from Edeka Winterberg, small sample. Clear amber to copper color, short head. Aroma of some toffee and caramel, slight spicy, bit grassy. Bit bitter in taste, slight sweet. Like a german version of Palm.

* Old rating, 0,5l, best before 24.02.06. Mild-malziges Bier. Tiefer als erwartet, schön weiche malzige Süße, Hauch von Röstmalz, lecker mild und weich im Nachgeschmack.
