Crisp Fizz - Cider Tripel is a clear tripel in which the flavour and aroma of apple are recognised. The flavour of the beer also remains clear: characteristic of tripels, you immediately experience esters, a slight maltiness and the soft fruitiness of banana.
The brewers did not add any dry-hopping or hop spice notes so that the flavour of the cider comes into its own.
In short, Crisp Fizz is a successful match between beer and cider, where the beer is supported by the cider’s nice characteristics. Crisp Fizz has the slightly sour character of cider, finished with a sparkling, fresh finish.

New collab between Musketeers and the popular cider brand Ruwet - so in effect a blend of a Musketeers ale (Troubadour Blond perhaps?) with a Cidre Ruwet - an unlikely marriage, see if it works. Slow gusher with foam creeping out of the bottle neck after pouring. Inches thick, very foamy, egg-white, creamy, lightly lacing head, misty yellow blonde robe with golden tinge and tiny-bubbled yet fierce, cava-like sparkling everywhere. Aroma - initially covered by the foam and therefore only gradually revealing itself - of freshly cut green and red apples but not as strong as expected, embedded in beeriness represented by banana peel, bread crust, pear juice and (even more) green pear peel, wet flour, freshly cut grass, unripe nectarine, prosecco, vague orange zest and a touch of bath foam. Fruity, indeed crisp and fizzy onset, sweet over a slight sourish undertone (cider indeed) with clear red as well as green apple flavours, halfripe banana, Conference pear and some ripe yellow plum, lively carbonated with minerally effects accentuating that sourish note as well as bringing further crispness; supple white-bready pale malt sweetish middle, remaining clearly soaked in sweet-sour cider with ongoing 'appleness' - joined by a mild grassy and floral hop bitter element further on, but the 'yellow-green' fruitiness, cleanly and neatly combining sweet with sour, remains dominant. This fruitiness coupled with a lingering yeasty-bready note and the high effervescence also have a prosecco-like effect, which I presume makes this beer well suited as an apéritif of sorts (even though I personally find the sweetness to outspoken for that). Not entirely my cup of tea - I will never be the greatest cider lover anyway - but admittedly interesting, a bit more than simply the sum of its parts indeed, and probably one to find a larger audience of 'quality seekers' - heck, perhaps even one to charm wine (or 'bubbles') drinkers?

Towering white head, stable, over cold hazed clear golden beer, leaving textbook lacerings. Faraway apples, but also citrus, citrusleaf, Bergamotte, fresh green herbs. Sweet-fruity. Again just hints at apples, but there is the dryness of a dry cider with lots of CO². Somehow refreshing, despite the respectable ABV. Very slick, highly carbonated. The times of Snakebite seem over. Here is a very good balance, thought-off, making good use of the qualities of a dry cider yet making decent beer. Txs to Stef!

Pours unclear, light blonde. Small white head. Scent is apples, fairly sweet and simple impression. Very mild tripel (pale malt and BE yeast) underneath. Taste is sharp, way less sweet than expected. Harsh apples, some acidity, bit simple apple varietals I assume . Tripel pushed way to the back. medium body, very high carbo. not very balanced, not at all complex.
