Backlog April 2008. Deep reddish amber, close to black body under a thin beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, liquorices, coffee and smoke. Taste is surprisingly strong and rich considering the low ABV, roasted malt, coffee, hint of smoke and a fruity touch. Nice body as well with a pleasant malty aftertaste. Nice.

Swing top bottle from Maria, thanks! Strong creamy maltaroma with chocolate and licorice. Creamy mouthfeel, though a bit thin and low on carbon. Malty sweetish flavor with espresso notes, licorice and dark chocolate. Fairly long coffee bitter aftertaste. Very well brewed dry stout.

Bottled@Timo A tasting (4.0%). Deep murky brown (close to black) colour with small off-white head. Aroma is roasted, caramelly and also some slight licorice and coffee. Flavour is much the same, but also has some wooden notes as well as grassyness. Very good considering the ABV.

Bottle. A clear (at least it looks clear next-to-black beer with a minimal beige head. Roasted and burnt aroma with a touch of smoke, as well as some chocolate and a hint of coffee. Roasted, chocolate flavor with coffee, but it’s not as good as the aroma. Wish it was the flavor that was the best. Medium to thin body, and a long, coffee-bitter finish. Considering it’s only 4% ABV, the beer is a masterpiece. (080411)

Bottle. 4.0 ABV. Frothy off-white fair mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Heavy malty exstremely roasted aroma and flavor. Really rich and powerfull roasted. Heavy bitter long finish with strong burnt/chocolate notes. Oily palate. Great beer

Bottle. Alc. 4.0% Batch #335. Medium black color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee. Flavor is light heavy sweet, light acidic and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (101107)
