We Consider this an extreme version of an American Pale Ale. It has a very up front floral and citrus aroma from a late cascade addition and dry hopping with Amarillo. This beer also has a big malt background to balance the bitterness of the hops. The rye malt cleans up your palette after you swallow so the hop flavor does not stick in your mouth too long.

Bottle. Hazy orange, creamy amber head. Leafy, citric, light evergreen hop aroma on a honey note. Nice fruity base flavor: Tropical, leafy hops on a sweet rustic malt base, dry minerally rye edges in the finish. Chalky dry aftertaste with hop aromatics retronasal. Moreish.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and malt flavor with light rye. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and malt linger with light spice and light earthiness.

From a 12 oz bottle at the beach. Pours a slightly cloudy pale gold with a thick white head. Fresh squeezed orange aroma. Orange fades to a lemon biscuit. Crisp finish.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head that laces well. Aroma is grapefruit, malt, caramel, and a bit of spiciness from the rye. Flavor is mildly sweet, grapefruit, malt and spicy rye competing. Finish is somewhat bitter.

Bottle. Orange, bready rye malt, citrus/floral hops aroma. Hazy orange with a small off-white head. Bready rye malt, sweet orange, grapefruit peel hops flavor. Medium creamy body, moderate carbonation. Good malt / hop blance make this an easy drinking beer.

I’m kind of surprised I haven’t reviewed this yet, a couple made it back from Florida with me so here goes. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden color with a smallish foamy white head that persists a bit. Earthy spicy and citrusy on the nose with a bit of sweet toffee and caramel to back it up. Taste follows the aroma very well but intensifies the spicy earthy component and lessens the citrus. Medium to thin body with a crisp level of carbonation and a sweet bubbly mouthfeel. This is a great easy drinking summer beer for me, I wish I could get this one locally.

Pours gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Spicy rye aromas. Crisp and dry with rye, caramel and mild pumpernickel front to back.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a small frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is a rye malt and citrus. Thin mouthfeel with a light hop and rye flavor and crisp finish. Easy to drink, a very good American pale ale from Terrapin.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of my baby brother. Thanks Jetson! Dark golden yellow appearance with a fluffy white head. Light rye, light caramel, mild to moderate grapefruit, organic hoppy nose. Easy drinking, light caramel, pale malty, moderate grapefruit, organic hoppy flavor with a nice touch of rye. Easy drinking session ale. My cat was really into this beer- the most he’s attacked me for beer since Girardin Black Label Gueuze!

Bottle. Poured a golden color with a medium white head. Aroma was citrus hops, malt character, grain. Flavor was citrus hops, grains (rye) with a touch of malt backing. A bit dry, but certainly a more unique experiment that sets it apart from many of its contemporary pale ales.
