Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a large butterscotch head. The aroma was strong piney and grapefruity hops - somewhat sweet and robust. The flavor was sweet, rich and full of piney and fruity hops with a light malt backbone and a hint of caramel. There was a faint resiny middle and the beer turned sour on the finish. A bit subdued. The mouthfeel was thick and syrupy. There are some really nice elements here but something did not mesh quite right.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Storm. Pours a clear, amber golden with a dense, off-white head. Fat aroma of citrus and peach. Medium body, a little low in carbonation with a fat caramel base and a hoppy and peachy finish. 270408

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully diminished white head. Pinewood hops aroma. Flavour is sweet and slight spiced malty. Goes into a nice smooth hops oily finish. Stays rather dry hoppy with a subdued flavour of caramel malt.

Pours clear amber with off white head. Aromas of pine and grapefruit. Tastes like a weak IIPA. The flavors are there, just not as strong as you would expect from a IIPA. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel and average carbonation.

Medium, yellowish head over very clear pale amber beer. Hopoils jumping out of the glass, with the usual cake-like sweetish aroma behind. Bit spicy too, and resinous from the hopoils. Dry, hop-tuned beer with a slow, but very bitter finish. Pine resin flavour, white grapes, discreet cake sweetness and sultanas with a bitter edge. Very slick, oily MF, well-bodied. Very decent and restrained IIPA, not overwhelming - if a bit fade. Thanks, David A!

Clear amber color, small off-white head, lace. Piney, fruity aroma (passion fruit). Very fruity IPA, lots of juicy - aromatic hoppy flavors. Passion fruit and resin are dominants. Long, but average bitterish aftertaste. Easy to drink, balanced IIPA.

Pours a crystal clear copper with off white head. Big yummy aroma of fresh grapefruit and orange rind with a distant note of a malty backbone. The taste plays out much the same as the aroma with tasty grapefruit hop bitterness and some orange rind mixed with mild sweet maltiness. This is an excellent confluence of flavor notes that nearly reach a balance toward the finish before the grapefruit hop bitterness takes over into the after taste. It isn’t an IIPA that pushes the limits but it’s pretty solid.

Bottle from jah noth. Translucent orange body with fine haze, medium tight off-white head. Citrusy hops nose backed by sweet, bready malt. Body dominated by resiny, citrusy hops backed by simple, sugary malts. Lingering bitterness. Sweeter than a regular IPA but not as bold as its brethren in the Double IPA style.
