Bottle@Monks Cafe American Bar (Sveavägen, Stockholm). Hazy orange colour with a small offö-white head. Aroma is nectary, some resin, mild sweet toffee and fudge with some floral tones. Flavour is intense fruits, some pineapple and mild sweet maltiness to it.

Bottle from dkachur, thanks Dan! Orange color. Grapefruit, red berries and oily hops in the aroma. Firm oily hopbitter flavor with grapefruit and red berries. rather sharp on the tongue. The fruit isn’t dominant in the flavor. There is some malt character present to offset the oily hops a bit. Nice one!

Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly's, 11/12/09
Aroma: The aroma is a nice mix of peach and grapefruit hops with some sweet malts as well
Appearance: It pours a hazy burnt orange color with a fluffy and lasting white head and lots of lace on the glass
Flavor: It has a flavor of citrus and pine hops with sweet malts and alcohol, all mixed together
Palate: The body is medium-full with a somewhat dry, sticky mouthfeel, a relatively long duration, and a mild alcohol feel
Overall Impression: I thought this was a pretty decent example of the IIPA style. A well-made brew with a nice body and flavor that just works pretty well. Not super complicated, but pretty good none-the-less.

Looks like a slightly darker pale lager. Has a thin creamy looking alabaster head. Aroma is medium hoppy. Taste is strong IPA but does not really approach the level of a good IIPA. Big bitter sensation builds on the back of my throat. Decent carbonation for a DIPA. Seems to hide the 7.5% alky fairly well. Terrible medicinal linger, seems to last forever. On style for an IPA but not quite for a DIPA.

12 oz bottle from a Winter Beer 10 Pack purchased at World Market for me by my wife. Pour is clear golden amber (really, it is) with nice swirling settling that builds up a thick one inch off white head. Decent lacing. Aroma of grassy citrus orange and malty resins. Not blow you away fresh, but clean and nice. Taste is more the sweet caramel malt than the citrus (more grapefruit than orange) and resin hops, but they are both present, and nicely balanced. Nice bitterness. A bit of a smoky burnt taste to the finish which was pleasant, and unique. Palate is medium, carbonated and slick. Alcohol is evident in the relatively long finish, which detracted a bit. Much boozier than I would have expected for 7.5. Overall, nice drinkable IIPA.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of alcohol, grapefruit, and Cascade hops. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of grapefruit, leading to a bitter finish.

Pours amber with off white head and nice white lacing. Aroma has good nose of malts / caramel and fruity hops (grapefruit). Taste citrus hops with light caramel malts palate. Overall mouthfeel has some bitter presence followed by a sweet resinous after taste that balances this beer nicely.

Bottle. Amber-bronze beer with a nice dark-cream colored head. Grapefruit and light pine aroma. Grapefruit, light pine flavor with light malt and earth. Medium-plus bodied. Some bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with some earth and dustiness.

Clear pour of light copper with a nice, creamy sand colored head. Great lacing. Nose of sweet and citrus, light maltiness. Tastes true to form with citrus and light floral hops making up of the majority of the impact. Some light malty sweetness to balance. Not to mention I love seeing a dipa in a 12oz bottle.

Bottle Pours out a copper/amber topped with a nice head. Aroma of crisp citrus hops and some light sweetness. Tast a lot of Grapefruit on this one. A fair shot at a double.
