A barrel-aged whiskey sour-inspired beer made in collaboration with Murray McDavid, a leading Scotch whisky bottler. Aged in Ledaig and Glen Elgin whisky casks with a light golden colour and smokey grapefruit finish. Hints of whisky on the finish leave a unique taste that suits both beer and whisky lovers.

From tap at Café DeRat, Utrecht. Peated and sour with whiskey, notes of tart fruit, berries. Lots of peated whiskey throughout. Tart sourish flavour. Medium body. Interesting.

Dense, stable just off-white head over cold hazed orange-golden beer. Smoke, peat, phenols, aniline, whisky. Sweet and soft whisky flavour. Again the phenols/aniline, especially retronasal. Hardly any acidity. Phenols keep hanging around throughout. The phenols, combined with the sweetness give a sticky impression. Light to medium bodied, but nowhere empty feel. Soft carbonation. Somehow, the blurb doesn't represent the content. The phenols are just to overpowering - smoke instead would have been vastly superior. Txs to Dav!

500ml bottle - Pours a hazy golden colour with a small frothy near white head. The aroma is smoky, woody, grapefruit and light whisky notes. A dryish mouthfeel, oak, whisky and smoky flavours overlaying a tart fruity grapefruit base with some fruity sweetness and whisky notes on the finish.
