Last year at Hop in ‘t Slot Michael from Afterthought Brewing was present and that made it possible to make a very nice collab together. The ideas of both our breweries are very similar and we have translated that into this beer. An American style saison with a refreshing acidity. To really make the collab something of both breweries, Michael brought American Cascade hops, ginger and lemongrass from a local herb garden. We have introduced the angelica root from Kiemkracht 64 and cascade hops from Brabanthop. Clouded Reflection is fermented with our house culture and barrel aged for 7 months with the Afterthought house culture. Together this makes for the ultimate spring beer: refreshingly tart, lots of citrus notes and a spicy aftertaste.

Fully hazy yellow beer; invisible carbonation. Herbal, delicate spices, dried flowers & herbs; heatherfield. Preserved or pickled lemonpeel. Sour, floral, again a bit of pickles, if with lactic instead of acetic acid. Different dried herbs, drugstore flavours. Light to medium bodied - but with acidthinning. Low carbonation. Typical Nevel, read: outstanding.

Cloudy beige blond beer, creamy white head, a little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, very floral, a little fruity, a bit weird. MF: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, a little bitter, berries, pretty dry, a bit astringent. Aftertaste: bitter, dry, spicy, red currants, herbal, funky, decent stuff!

Bottle. Hazy yellow golden. Nevel funk up front, wheat, soft grains, light white pepper, lemon juicy, elderflower, a bit of spices, yoghurt, light hops. Medium sweet and quite sour. Medium bodied. Tasty, but quite a lot more sour than most Nevel beers. Maybe even a bit too sour.
