Bottled(500ml). -Reddish/brown coloured, small pale brown head, strong and quite unpleasant honey nose. Roasted malt, light chocolate and coffee and a way too pronounced honey taste. Also some notes of wax. Interesting and truly unique taste but not so enjoyable nor pleasant.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with no head. Aroma is like that old honey bear honey, you know the one you squeeze the bear and honey pours out. Taste is heavy honey and bitter, also some leafy spice.

500ml bottle, 4.5% ABV, from Centra Colosseum. Light brown, bubbly head. Deep, dark brown with shining clarity. Prominent and inviting smell of dark honey. Honey sweetness in the taste, with roasted malts behind. Short tail. Perfumed impression and rather one-dimensional in flavour [hotel room in Oslo, 16.12.2008].

[bottle] Dark ruby colour with a beige and short foamy head. Sweet, slightly malty nose with a distinctive note of honey, that covers almost everything else but a flowery touch in the background. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Light roasty malt character with notes of honey and something that reminds me of bubblegum. Sweet and moderately malty finish with flowery as well as spicy notes, plus a touch of coffee/mocha in the aftertaste. Not a must [13.XII.08].

500 ml bottle, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark reddish brown colour, moderate creamy beige head. VERY strong aroma of honey, also notes of caramel and syrup. Creamy mouthfeel. The honey dominates the flavour too, but it is not quite as sweet as I feared. Notes of coffee and cough syrup, with a moderate hoppy bitterness in the finish. St. Peter’s Brewery has better beers than this one!

Medium brown head goes coarse, then shrinks. Nearly opaque black body is in fact barely translucent brown. Floral earthy creosote aroma, very harmonic. Dryish powerful floral creosote taste with earthy roasty tar notes. Mild mouthfeel. Mid body. Dry aftertaste is the same. Nice, but with a kind of disturbing undertone. Can’t say I can pick up the honey. (0.5l bottle, Centra, Oslo.)

Bottle 50cl @ home.Clear dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, milk chocolate, light hoppy, flowers, perfume, moderate to light heavy honey and vanilla. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is creamy - smooth, carbonation is soft. It is a bit to sweet IMO. (080708)

(Bottle, Jerusalem Tavern, Farringdon, London, 4 Aug 2008) Very dark brown colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with lots of honey, chocolate fudge and hints of Dr Pepper soft drink. Kind of weird. Malty, roasted taste with burnt honey notes, chocolate and a fairly bitter finish. Slightly weird and lots of burnt honey character, but still a decent beer.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark hazzlenut brown with a creamy tan head. Honey herbal aroma and mild roasted malt. Sweet chocolate powder flavour with a mild honey flavour swept through this. Ends with a lingering mix of chocolate and honey - sure works good in chocolate bars - but not in my beer.
