500ml bottle. Pours really dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is very sweet honey. Slightly artificial honey finish with some malt.

From a 500ml bottle on 10/10/2010. Has a powerful aroma with honey, butterscotch, flowers and vanilla all evident. There’s lots of sweet honey, floral and roasted/burnt malt flavours to be found, followed by an assertive and long bitter kick. It’s let down by being extremely thin. It’s almost watery in texture, which is curious given how much flavour abounds. A curious and weird beer which doesn’t quite pull it off, but worth trying for something different.

50cl bottle, local store. (4.5%). Poured dark brown with a thin beige head. Aroma is honey and malt. Flavor is strong of honey, hard to detect anything more. Finish is quite dry, roasted malt coming through. Bit watery. Too much honey to make it really enjoyable, the finish saved it a bit.

Bottle sample at stout tasting at In de Wildeman. Clear dark reddish brown/cola colour, light beige head. Aroma of sweet honey (klaverhoning), vanilla, not much else. Flavour is of honey essence, after shave, roasted malts, rather thin but strong bitterness that lingers. Ligth bodied, a bit alcoholic in the finish. Nah.

Poured a dark... red? tinged with amber? near the bottom... clear body with a small thick off white head that went away relatively slowly. Sweet, sticky honey nose, slightly fruity and lemony. Surprisingly nice. The taste, however is a layer of soapy honey floating on an empty, slightly roasty buffer of body. Do I want to know how this looked like before honey was added? Yeah, the honey is kinda nice but how on earth am i gonna finish this up? Cloying and slightly too sweet for its own good.

0.5 l bottle. It poured dark brown body with tiny head. Honey flowery aroma, pleasant...to that point only. Flavor was perfume flowery, more dry than sweet which I was expecting, offensive for my taste. Revealed some coffee malt below but not much, that ugly odor overwhelms everything in large scale. Thinner in body, empty, in the aftertaste remains only something alkaline like you’ve just drank a perfume from some china shop. Otherwise I like stuff with honey but honestly, this is crap, I could only have few sips.

Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are honey, malt, caramel and chocolate. Not well balanced.

Bottle, Global Wines, Birmingham. This seems a little harshly treated on here. Dark brown pour with minimal head. Fragrant aroma with honey predominating and some herbs, which is pretty much how it tasted with some roasted malt and coffee notes. Ever so slightly watery palate. Obviously if you like honey as I do, then this has definite appeal.

bottle shared by faroeviking. clear brown, small offwhite head. aroma is strong honey. not much more than that. flavor is medicine cabinet, roasted grains, alca seltzer (but not much honey). truly weird thing that i didn’t like very much.
