A traditional English Porter, auburn red in colour and finished with honey for a truly unique aroma and taste. Honey aromas on the nose, and flavours of honey, chocolate and with hints of vanilla making this a unique and pleasing ale.

It has strong aroma of honey and little of chocolate. Strong and bitter flavor. Medium creaminess without carbonation. It was nicely experience to try beer with honey taste.

Bottle. Pours dark maroon, with a small head. Weird sweetly floral aroma of anise (or the Scandinavian Kongen av Danmark sweets), together with some undefinable oakines. A rather thin, watery body. Flavour is burned, with the same strange sweetness as promised in the initial aroma.

50cl bottle. Brown colour with a frothy, creamy and mostly diminishing tan head. Aroma has heavy honey traces, malty and sugary. Flavour has honey hints, moderate caramel and a sweet final with a long duration. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium.

Flaske 0,5l fra Kilpishalli. Dyp rødbrun. Nesten ikke skum. Sterk honningaroma. Smaken er også bare honning med en viss syrlighet. Lite å glede seg over.

500ml bottle. Clear dark brown with unstable beige head. Smells like pure honey first. The first sip makes me remembering the taste of "Liebesperlen" (small coloured candy pearls), wiping out the initial not reconstructable impression. After "Liebesperlen" the taste changes from soapy to a lasting even more soapy finish. "A truly unique aroma and taste" - yes, i agree: completely artificial.

Bottle at Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Dark brown color, beige head. Smell only slightly honey I guess. Taste malts, some sweetness (honey??) and some bitterness. Low body, low carbo.

0.5l bottle @ Baran, Bergen. Pours a clear dark caramel brown body with a thin bubbly off-white head. Aroma is really strong honey! Almost like sticking your head inside a beehive (not that I recommend you kids out there to try). Also some spices in this but the honey completely dominates all others aromas. It actually reminds me quite a lot of a Norwegian bread spread called "Sunda". Light bodied, has a watery to oily texture and is softly carbonated. The honey is also quite noticeable in the taste, but not nearly as strong as the aroma would suggest. Not to much that hints that this could be a porter. Quite sweet, has a mild light bitter and watery finish and a perfumed honey aftertaste. A strange experience this "porter", where I find the honey a bit to dominant for my liking.

Bottle. Light black with an offwhite head. Aroma is all honey. Taste of roasted dark chocolate with a honey background. The whole package is a bit overpowering although salty crips do calm it down a bit.

Intensely honey dark beer. Honey on the nose and on the tongue but it’s never too much. It does dominate the dark porter flavours. A dark mead?!!
