This beer seems to be more a medicine for a illness of the throat with a really dosis of honey, with roasted malt, dry and watery, so-so, 28.06.2017, drinking it at Lausanne, Prélaz, buying it in one cooo.

Bottle from local bottle shop. Aroma is dark malt, strong honey, lots of vanilla, some roasted notes and a hint of chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Too heavy on the honey for my taste.

Dark brown with a creamy, beige head that lingers. Aroma of honey, very dominant, with hints of Tootsie Roll. Interesting but less than enthralling. Taste is sweet, full of honey, with mild, roasted bitter undertones. Body to the light side of medium, decent chewiness. Too much honey in the mix and too one-dimensional. Drinkable in modest portions though.

Bottle from St Peters Brewery Shop, Suffolk. Black with a head. The mix of vanilla, honey and hints of chocolate make for a fine porter in this case, despite nothing being too stated or dominant in this relatively smooth brew. What's also notable is that none of these are sweet tasting either. Vanilla does dominate in aroma though.
